18 - 27°C — Blue skies, then hazy
By Laurel
Memories of the Hospitales Route on the Camino Primitivo! Walking most of the day along the top of a mountain ridge, with deep wide valleys, hills, and mountains all around as far as the eye can see. And about the same distance and type of weather. A few things differed, though — today had a lot of pavement (minor country roads), only gentle elevation changes, and one bar to stop at for refreshments along the way.
Knowing that it would be a hot day, we left our albergue at 5:30 am, at which time Jim noted that the temperature was already 18 degrees. We were very glad to reach our end destination at 12:45 and checked in soon after at Casa Terra Alma, a beautiful stone guest house. Natalie is from Lugo (a city in Northern Spain) and had been walking as a pilgrim on the Camino Sanabres when she saw this property as a ruin. She bought it and after two and a half years of renovation work opened it as a guest house.

Stay a the albergue in Albergueria tomorrow night if you can! An amazing place.
